[Federal Register: August 4, 1998 (Volume 63, Number 149)] [Rules and Regulations] [Page 41404-41418] From the Federal Register [DOCID:fr04au98-7]"Social Security Administration's decision-making process is nonadversarial and informal, and claimants do not require representation. The decision to have a representative is the claimant's, and SSA neither encourages nor discourages representation.
A claimant may revoke the appointment of a representative at any time.Likewise, a representative may withdraw from representing a claimant at any time. Any rule limiting the withdrawal of a representative would contravene SSA's basic policy on representation. If a claimant still desires representation after his or her representative withdraws, we will allow the individual time to secure a new representative before we adjudicate the claim."
Several Oregon Attorneys are lying to their clients who want to fire them and hire Daniel Bernath. They are saying that "you'll have to start all over again. You're wait will start at the beginning if you switch lawyers."THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. When you fire a lazy lawyer who has ignored your case and Daniel Bernath takes over your case, you DO NOT go to the back of the line and start your wait all over again. This is a bald faced desperate lie by some Oregon lawyers. Several Oregon Attorneys are lying to their clients who want to fire them and hire Daniel Bernath.
