Dear Sirs or Madam:
I wish to file a notice on a report I heard about a Washington State resident Dan R. Hyatt who works in Oregon. I was told that he makes appearances in Washington State although he actually works in Oregon and that he
does it for “tax reasons.” The only tax reason I could think of is either tax evasion or tax avoidance. I don’t know which it is but as Dan R. Hyatt is a highly paid government employee, his taxes to the State of Oregon for employment in the state of Oregon could amount to tens of thousands of dollars of lost tax revenue over 11 years of Oregon employment.ALJ Dan R. Hyatt. is a hearing officer at the Social Security Office of Hearings and Appeals in Portland Oregon. He lives in Washington State as I understand the facts. He holds a few hearings in Washington State for reasons that are not for the benefit of the customers of Social Security.
But, he maintains a full time, fully staffed office at 601 SW 2nd Avenue, ODS Tower, Portland Oregon. He has a fulltime paralegal and shares a staff of approximately 50 other employees and independent contractors.
Dan R. Hyatt must sign in each day that he is in Portland into a log book for ALJs so it would be quite easy to determine if he is in Portland many more times than he says for “tax reasons” by asking SSA to give you the log book voluntarily or getting it through a subpoena if they resist your requests for cooperation.

Dan R. Hyatt . has been admonished by his employer, Social Security for unprofessional
conduct. One or more federal Magistrate Judges have chastised ALJ Dan R. Hyatt
repeatedly for making major “misrepresentations.” Therefore, it seems like a
good case to conduct an investigation as ALJ Dan R. Hyatt ’s reputation for honesty
has been officially called into question by his employer and United States
judges.
As so much money for the State of Oregon is at stake, as an administrative law judge Dan R. Hyatt should be shown to not be above the laws of the State of Oregon and possibly abusing the tax system in a way the average Oregonian cannot, this would seem to be an appropriate case to investigate.

# The Washington State office is a mere 15 minutes drive from his downtown Portland office at 601 Second Street, 17 Floor, Portland, Oregon. Total Estimated Distance: 9.4 miles. In contrast, claimant’s who live in Seaside Oregon must travel to Portland, some reporting that the trip takes several hours. Therefore, Dan R. Hyatt is holding hearings in Vancouver for his own personal reasons, perhaps “the tax reasons“. The ODAR office has at least 3 conference rooms for attorneys and claimants to meet. At the Vancouver Federal Building there is none and claimants and their attorneys are reduced to traveling several blocks to use a public café in the Clark County courthouse. Furthermore, there are no handicapped restrooms at the Vancouver Federal Building but at the Portland ODAR there are at least two-something that is necessary for disabled Social Security claimants.
