Dan R. Hyatt misrepresented (lied) about the evidence to justify his hateful and vindictive denial of my case.  Dan R. Hyatt 's repeated lies amount to misconduct which warrants sanctions by the Oregon State Bar.  (Social Security agrees to fine itself $1,500 because of the outrageous conduct of Dan R. Hyatt in this case and the federal court reversed Dan R. Hyatt and granted claimant her disability benefits)

I would like to tell you a little about the suffering Dan R. Hyatt 's lies have caused me. I am disabled.  I am not able to work and support myself and I have depending on a disability check to help me pay for even the barest essentials.  Dan R. Hyatt was aware of my desperate situation, yet Dan R. Hyatt chose to lie about my case and force me to go without a Social Security Disability check while the case was appealed.  As a result of Dan R. Hyatt 's lies, I was forced to go to churches and beg for rent money and food boxes.

I lost my apartment because I could not pay the rent because of Dan R. Hyatt 's lies.  I had no idea that a federal judge like Dan R. Hyatt would stoop to the level of lies and misrepresentations in order to intentionally hurt someone like me.  When Dan R. Hyatt lied about my case and denied my claim based on Dan R. Hyatt 's lies, it hit me especially hard emotionally, because my father was dying at the time, and he had to see me living in extreme poverty with no means of support. My father was helpless to provide support to me, and he died knowing his daughter was disabled and destitute, reduced to begging at churches (because of the lies told by Dan R. Hyatt ).

I believe that Dan R. Hyatt should be held accountable for his dishonesty.  Attorneys like Dan R. Hyatt should not be allowed to lie about people and hurt people on purpose. I hope the bar will do something to stop Dan R. Hyatt from doing this type of thing.

If Dan R. Hyatt gets the chance, he could try to stop my disability checks by lying about my case again and I would be on the street because I could not pay my rent.  I would like the bar to punish Dan R. Hyatt for his lies and prohibit him from ever having anything to do with my case again.

I believe that Dan R. Hyatt is an evil and hateful person.  Such people should not be allowed to be lawyers at all, and he certainly should not be allowed to be a judge, where he is able to lie about cases and put people on the street, begging for food.

II. ALJ Dan R. Hyatt "Misrepresented" Evidence

"as to Pitman's statement about work performed after her alleged onset date, Dan R. Hyatt states she "denied having worked since 1991."  There is no evidence in the record to support this. In fact the opposite is true.   ALJ Dan R. Hyatt did indeed misrepresent (lied about) the evidence.

As a basis to find Pitman not credible Dan R. Hyatt also misrepresented (lied) about evidence by taking a portion of an MD's statement out of context and improperly emphasizing his diagnosis of somatic dysfunction.  Dan R. Hyatt leaves out the crucial second half of Dr. Winans' statement.  Further, Dan R. Hyatt improperly twisted Dr. Winans' diagnosis...  Dan R. Hyatt s use of a partial statement out of context, combined with his misuse of Pitman's somatoform disorder, amounted to misrepresentation (lying about)  this evidence (by Dan R. Hyatt ).

Dan R. Hyatt 's statement that claimant "has not engaged in mental health treatment at all" is incorrect (a lie by Dan R. Hyatt ).

Dan R. Hyatt stated that claimant's statement that she had numbness in her hands and feet was "unsupported in her records."  This is incorrect (and thus another lie by Dan R. Hyatt )

He must be a member of the bar to be eligible to be an administrative law judge. 
He currently is employed by the Social Security Administration as an administrative law judge out of the Portland Oregon ODAR.
