Complaint from Tamara Mohr
Re Social Security employee and Oregon State Bar Member
Dan R. Hyatt
Because of Dan R. Hyatt’s cruelty I almost killed myself.
2. I went to a second hearing in Vancouver at the Federal Building. Social Security Disability Judge Hyatt was sitting under a big seal that said US District Court Judge. A federal judge. The sign on the door also said that he was a US District Judge. I thought he was a US District judge and I was very scared because he holds my life in his hands and he has been nasty for over a year to me now. (Hyatt is NOT a US District Court judge)
3. During the second hearing he told the court reporter to ‘go off the record.’ And stop recording what he said. Then he looked at me from the high platform he was sitting on, with the US District Court seal behind him and said;
“No matter what’s wrong with you I’m not approving you. (Exact quote)
Was your Mom on disability?
Was your Mom fat too?
4.
The look on Hyatt’s face was vicious. I was crying because of his
cruelty and his brutal tone and what he said about my Mom.
“You’re not going to live the high life” or words to that effect. I
wrote the exact words to the appeals council and they remanded the case.
5.
Hyatt then went “back on the record” and acted all formal again.
6.
I’ll give you the exactly words he said that I mailed to the SSA Appeals
Council. Now a new judge, Linda Haack, has been assigned to hear the case after
the remand back to SSA Office of Disability Appeals and Adjudications.
7.
After the first hearing where he treated me like that I planned to kill
myself by walking into the ocean. I sat on the beach for 30 minutes getting up
the courage to kill myself because I couldn’t face Dan R. Hyatt’s cruelty
again.
8.
Then I decided that maybe things could be better if I get help even
though Hyatt treated me so badly that I then walked into Willapa Mental Health
in Long Beach Washington. They put me under mental care and I am still under
mental health care because of the severe depression that Dan R. Hyatt, wearing
his black robes, insulting me and my family, made worse.
