re: citizen complaint regarding apparent violation of Theodore Kulongoski OSB member 70080 of Oregon Code of Professional Responsibility Sec. DR 1-102 (A)(3)

Dear Oregon State Bar:

I hereby request an investigation into the apparent violation of Oregon Code of Professional Responsibility Sec. DR 1-102 (A)(3) by Theodore Kulongoski OSB member 70080. As I understand the facts, Kulongoski currently serves as Governor of the State of Oregon and was a former justice of the Oregon Supreme Court.

According to published reports, bar member Kolongoski misrepresented the facts (lied when asked a question) regarding his role in finding a job at OHSU for the sister of former Governor and bar member Neil Goldshmidt.

A summary appears in the Oregonian and KXL radio:

"Kulongoski admits he helped Goldschmidt's sister-in-law
Nancy Goldschmidt was hired at OHSU in January, at a salary of $105,000 a year.

Governor Kulongoski now admits he used his clout to find a high-paying job for Neil Goldschmidt's sister-in-law.

On Tuesday, the Governor said he had nothing to do with her hiring at OHSU. Now his chief of staff tells The Oregonian that the governor "mis-remembered" a December conversation with the hospital's president.

Nancy Goldschmidt was hired at OHSU in January, at a salary of $105,000 a year. Her new job came just as her old one was being threatened.

As head of the state Board of Higher Education, Neil Goldschmidt called for layoffs in the chancellor's office, where his sister-in-law worked."

Oregon Code of Professional Responsibility Sec. DR 1-102 (A)(3) states that is professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation. The lie by bar member Kulongoski that he "misremember" is the same as the statement of former New York and California bar member Richard Nixon April 17, 1973 through a spokesman that his previous statements on the Watergate break in was "inoperative."

Oregon bar member Goldschmidt has admitted to repeatedly having sex with a 14 year old child.

I trust that you will rise to your duty and investigate this complaint regarding your bar member Kulongoski.

Sincerely,

Private Practice Attorney
