I am writing you in regards to my pending disability claim with Social Security.  I saw your ad on TV the other day and followed the information in the ad to your website.  I may be in need of a NEW attorney to fight on my behalf as I am very apprehensive about the near absolute lack of communication I am receiving with my present counsel.  His name, Merrill Schneider, and the information (about him on the internet) stimulates that apprehension even more.  I am not in the habit of firing people and I'm trying desperately not to overreact to recent events but having dealt with attorneys and various other professional in the past I have have found that any surprises of a serious nature were always brought to my attention by the professional and NOT by me having to inquire how things are going or what's taking so long.

"If I had a mechanic like Schneider, I don't think my car would be running."

I filed for SSD in November 2004...I contacted the Schneider firm (through a TV ad) and asked about my chances of winning this claim.  I can only assume that Schneider figured my chances were good due to my age and medical condition or he wouldn't have taken on the responsibility.  I was then told that this matter would have to go before a judge for a hearing and that would take till about June of 06.  Not having hearing anything  since from SSD or Schneider I called the Schneider office in the middle of May 06, left a message, called again 3 days later only to find out that the paralegal I had dealt with was no longer there and that it would be at least another year before my case could be presented before a judge due to the increased case load of the courts.

About a week later I received a call from the same gal I just talked to, answering my message left 3 days prior to talking to her.

She didn't even know who I was!

Hence my apprehension (with Merrill Schneider and his law office staff). I am impressed with the information you ( provided on your website, not just your resume although it is very impressive in and of itself, to me, all resumes are meant to be impressive by design, but also the follow up links you provided as well.  Some of which don't seem to provide you with any direct  benefit at all.  (A link on the website of Daniel Alan Private Practice Attorney caused an advocacy group to telephone me) provided me with a wealth of information on free/reduced fee medical services available right here in Gresham, Oregon.

When I discussed my financial situation with Merrill Schneider's assistant I was advised to apply for welfare and that's as far as the conversation went.

I am impressed by you  You have a resume in motion.
