Re: JoEllen Shannon 517 56 0601

Notice is hereby given that JoEllen Shannon has embezzled $3900 from me and from a Social Security payee by contacting my client directly and stating that the client owed her money and that the client did not owe me the money.  Stealing money from the client does not extinguish the client’s obligation to pay me my attorney fees.  Therefore, JoEllen Shannon has stolen from the Social Security claimant.

Shannon was not the attorney for this client but merely an independent contractor.

Client:  Lucas  xxx xx 3097

Date of Award: 4.2.2011

Letter to my client for my attorney fee:  October 1, 2011

Phone call from client: 10.6.2011

“This is Lucas.  I just got letter from you for payment for $3900.

When got the big check (for all back benefits)  I  was told by JoEllen Shannon to pay her so I did that.

Sorry if there is a mix up.  She said was my representative.

I did make the payment to her.

This is what happened.  ”

Thereafter JoEllen Shannon wrote to Dan Bernath stating that she earned the attorney fee and not Bernath and that basically out of the goodness of his heart and out of thankfulness that Lucas sent JoEllen Shannon $3000.

Lucas says that JoEllen lied.  He sent the $3000 to a secret bank account number provided by Shannon because she said that would extinguish her attorney fee obligation to Bernath.

Respectfully,

Daniel A. Bernath
